Louisiana’s New E-cigarette Regulations May Harm Disposable Brands

Louisiana state’s new e-cigarette regulations, effective November 1, may adversely affect disposable e-cigarette manufacturers.

According to local US media outlet nola, Louisiana’s sanctions legislation on e-cigarettes is set to take effect on November 1st. This move could potentially have detrimental effects on manufacturers of disposable e-cigarette brands.

A new regulation that took effect on July 1st mandates the imposition of a sales tax on e-cigarette liquid and requires all e-cigarette products to be sold by wholesalers with valid licenses.

Starting from October 1st, in accordance with new regulations, all manufacturers of e-cigarette-related products selling in the state of Louisiana are required to register their products with the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control in order to legally sell them in the local market.
