Brazilian authorities seize large amount of marijuana and e-cigarettes hidden in beach buckets and chocolate bars. Investigations underway.
According to Brazilian media outlet Faxaju, on October 23rd, the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service, in collaboration with the Postal Service, conducted a joint operation in Aracaju, where a large quantity of marijuana and e-cigarettes were seized. These products were concealed within items such as beach buckets and chocolate bars.
José Gonçalves Neto, the head of the Customs Supervision Division of the Alaraju Federal Tax Agency, stated that customs authorities have also discovered instances of cash mailing that violate current regulations.
All individuals suspected of being involved in the interception of smuggled products and illegal cash mailing will be investigated.
