Two Swindon stores under investigation for selling e-cigarettes to minors, as local council considers legal action.

According to a recent report by The Swindon Advertiser, two shops in Swindon, United Kingdom, have been found to be selling e-cigarettes to minors. Due to an ongoing investigation, the names of these reported shops have not been disclosed.

In the UK, it is legal to sell e-cigarettes only to individuals aged 18 and above. However, their vibrant colors and sweet flavors have the ability to attract children.

The Swinton City Council is currently considering taking legal measures. Councilor Jim Grant expresses concern about the growing popularity of disposable e-cigarettes among minors and believes that they should not have access to these products. Jim Grant is a cabinet member for local community and collaborative work.

The Swinton District Council and the police are now urging the public to “serve as the eyes and ears of the community trade standards” by reporting any instances of shops selling age-restricted products to underage children.
