Argentina government proposes to increase tobacco tax to 73% and impose a 20% tax on e-cigarettes and related products.

The Argentinian government has submitted a bill to Congress to raise the current tobacco tax from 70% to 73%.

The bill has also introduced a specific taxation system for e-cigarettes, requiring a uniform 20% tax on the sales of e-cigarettes, other nicotine-delivering devices that are approved and do not require the combustion of tobacco, as well as their corresponding e-liquids.
